Gasoline prices in Rhode Island remain the same this week, according to AAA Northeast.
AAA Northeast’s February 24 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.46 per gallon. Rhode Island’s price is 1 cent below the national average of $2.47. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 10 cents lower at $2.36 per gallon.
“Gasoline prices are likely to fluctuate in the coming weeks, but not drastically, as the winter driving season nears its end and refineries undergo maintenance,” said Lloyd Albert, Senior Vice President of AAA Public and Government Affairs. “This is the typical trend this time of year.”
