Westwood, M.A., November 2, 2020 — Massachusetts’s average gas price is down 2 cents from last week ($2.10), averaging $2.08 per gallon. Today’s price is the 3 cents lower than a month ago ($2.11), and 48 cents cheaper than November 2, 2019 ($2.56). Massachusetts’s average gas price is 4 cents lower than the national average.
“The national gas price average at the start of November has not been this cheap since 2004. If crude oil continues to push cheaper, we could see the national average drop below $2 per gallon before the end of the year,” said Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast Director of Public and Government Affairs.
AAA Northeast’s November 2 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be 4 cents lower than last week ($2.16), averaging $2.12 a gallon. Today’s national average price is 7 cents lower than a month ago ($2.19), and 49 cents cheaper than this day last year ($2.61).
