For the third time in less than a year, AAA Northeast’s (AAA) affiliated insurer Motor Club Insurance Company (MCIC) has announced a refund to Rhode Island auto policyholders who had a policy in effect during October 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. MCIC plans to issue refund checks to eligible policyholders, and no action is required by the insured. With this latest action, MCIC will have refunded nearly $2.4 million to its Rhode Island auto insurance policyholders.
The Providence-based insurer has created this relief package in response to a reduction in miles-driven and insurance claims due to the impact of COVID-19. “We’re pleased to share these savings for a third time with our policyholders,” said John Galvin, AAA Northeast’s President and CEO. “With less miles traveled and fewer claims, it’s our way of looking out for our customers.”
AAA recognizes many policyholders are facing financial difficulties during these unprecedented times, and MCIC is doing what it can to help. Policyholders with payment questions or difficulty paying their insurance premiums are encouraged to call 1-833-326-4004 to discuss options.
