Wayne, N.J., November 28, 2022 — New Jersey’s average gas price dropped eight cents this week to today’s average of $3.72 ($3.80). A month ago, the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.77, while it was $3.44 on November 28, 2021.
AAA Northeast’s November 28th survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be $3.54, down 12 cents from last week ($3.66). The national average was $3.76 a month ago, and $3.39 a year ago.
“In addition to lower prices locally, the national average pump price for a gallon of gasoline dropped 12 cents in the past week,” said Robert Sinclair Jr., Senior Manager of Public Affairs for AAA Northeast. “The cost of fuel has edged lower on fears of economic slowdowns around the globe.”
Gas prices were on the decline across the region as well. The average price in Connecticut is $3.65, down five cents from last week ($3.70), and $3.78 in New York, a decrease of seven cents from last week ($3.75). Pennsylvania drivers are paying the most in our area – $3.96, down six cents from last week ($4.02).
