Wayne, N.J., November 14, 2022 — New Jersey gas prices decreased a modest two cents this week to today’s average of $3.91 ($3.93). A month ago, the average price for a gallon of gas in NJ was $3.68, while it was $3.45 this time last year.
AAA Northeast’s November 14 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be $3.77, down three cents from last week ($3.80).
“The national average for a gallon of gasoline slid three cents in the past week to $3.77, and prices locally have been relatively stable recently,” said Robert Sinclair, Jr., Senior Manager of Public Affairs for AAA Northeast. “The main reason is the global cost for oil, gasoline’s main ingredient, has been stuck in a narrow price range of $85 to $92 a barrel for several weeks.”
Gas prices were up slightly across the region as well. The average price in Connecticut is $3.77, up one cent from last week ($3.76), and $3.89 in New York, an increase of three cents from last week ($3.86). Pennsylvania drivers are paying the most in our area – $4.08, up one cent from last week ($4.07).
