Westwood, M.A., July 13, 2020 — Massachusetts’s average gas price is up two cents from last week ($2.10), averaging $2.12 per gallon. Today’s price is 11 cents cheaper than a month ago ($2.04) and 63 cents cheaper than July 13, 2019 ($2.75). Massachusetts’s average gas price is 7 cents lower than the national average.
“The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) data shows gasoline demand and supply continue on a roller coaster ride,” said Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast Director of Public and Legislative Affairs. “As motorists react to unfolding COVID-19 information, we are seeing driving behaviors related to filling-up ebb and flow.”
AAA Northeast’s July 13 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be $2.19, up a penny from last week ($2.18). Today’s national average price is 9 cents higher than a month ago ($2.10), and 59 cents cheaper than this day last year ($2.78).
