AAA Northeast is proud to announce that Boston’s Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street has been awarded the coveted AAA Five Diamond designation for extraordinary service, leading-edge cuisine and beautiful surroundings.
The new luxury hotel, located in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay, is the only new property to receive the Five Diamond designation this year across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Additionally, the hotel has been recognized with AAA’s Best of Housekeeping designation for exemplary cleanliness and conditions in the hotel’s 215 guest rooms, spa, fitness center, lap pool and Zuma—the hotel’s Japanese izakaya-inspired restaurant and bar.
“AAA is pleased to award Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston, this prized designation to recognize the world-class, one-of-a-kind experience offered at this beautiful property,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for AAA Northeast. “Every AAA Diamond designated property meets a strict quality standard, but receiving a Five Diamond designation requires incredible attention to detail and a level of service and atmosphere that goes above and beyond.”
Every year, millions of travelers stay and dine at nearly 60,000 AAA Diamond properties during their vacations and road trips, benefitting from the clean, comfortable accommodations verified by professionally-trained AAA inspectors to meet stringent quality standards.
But only a small number of establishments around the country have earned the coveted Five Diamond designation – the highest possible designation reserved for the most leading-edge cuisine and extraordinary service and surroundings. Just 119 hotels and 63 restaurants have reached this pinnacle, representing less than one half of one percent of all Diamond properties across North America. Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street joins just five other Five Diamond properties in Boston: Four Seasons Hotel Boston, Boston Harbor Hotel, Mandarin Oriental Boston and The Ritz-Carlton Boston.
“We are honored and humbled to have won this coveted distinction and to be one of only five hotels in Boston with this designation. We are equally excited to be the only new property in all of the North American and the Caribbean to be receiving the AAA Five Diamond designation this year,” said Reed Kandalaft, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston. “To be ranked in the same category as the best hotels in the world and to join the upper echelons within the hospitality industry is a testament to the exceptional Four Seasons team members who go above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis and display a genuine passion for what they do. Thanks to them we are able to not only fulfill, but to surpass, our guest expectations and create memorable moments consistently.”
To earn a AAA Diamond designation, inspectors conduct unannounced in-person inspections that include anonymous overnight stays. An additional review is conducted by a panel of experts. The requirements are based on industry experts and AAA member guidance. For more information, visit AAA.com/Diamonds
