Providence, R.I., November 15, 2021 — Rhode Island’s average gas price is up 1 cent from last week ($3.40), averaging $3.41 per gallon. Today’s price is 19 cents higher than a month ago ($3.22), and $1.33 higher than November 15, 2020 ($2.08). Rhode Island’s average gas price is the same as the national average.
“A slight dip in gas demand, possibly due to seasonal driving habit changes, is contributing to some price relief at the pump,” said Lloyd Albert, Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs for AAA Northeast. “Unfortunately, the ongoing tight supply of crude oil will likely keep gas prices fluctuating, instead of dropping, for some time.”
AAA Northeast’s November 15 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be 1 cent lower than last week ($3.42), averaging $3.41 a gallon. Today’s national average price is 11 cents higher than a month ago ($3.30), and $1.29 higher than this day last year ($2.12).
