A local AAA Northeast Approved Auto Repair garage with a strong sense of customer service and community involvement has been named a first-place winner in AAA’s 2022 Annual Service Provider of Excellence program.
Bruneau’s Garage of West Haven and Milford earned a Gold Award in the small-size facility category of AAA’s nationwide program that recognizes AAA roadside assistance service providers for exceptional service to AAA members, speedy response times, and community involvement.
Of the nearly 8,000 AAA service providers that deliver roadside assistance nationally, only 12 have received this year’s honor, said AAA Northeast.
“Bruneau’s is part of a select group that represents the best in roadside assistance that AAA has to offer,” said Carl Pella, manager of AAA Northeast’s Road Service Field Operations. “They rescue AAA members daily and deliver the best in customer service every single time, often going above and beyond.”
Bruneau’s is no stranger to national recognition for its customer and community service. In 2020, the facility earned a Silver Award in the AAA Annual Service Provider of Excellence program and consistently received national recognition awards from AAA.
In addition, the facility donates used vehicles to the West Haven Fire Department for fire simulation practice, sponsors West Haven’s annual tree lighting ceremony and participated in the town’s Centennial celebration.
In 2021 Bruneau’s received the prestigious American Towman Magazine Order of Towman award. In 2017, the company also sponsored a statewide Spirit Ride of tow trucks and first-responder vehicles to call attention to the Slow Down, Move Over law in CT. The law says drivers must slow down to a reasonable speed, and if possible, move over when they see emergency responders assisting disabled vehicles at roadside.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as a AAA Service Provider of Excellence,” said Owner Robert Bruneau, “because this award reflects our commitment to AAA members by providing the best experience possible during times they need us most.”
