AAA Northeast is aiming to keep hard-working New York health care workers healthy by delivering 100 baskets brimming with nutritious snacks to hospitals in Utica, Oneonta and Cooperstown on Friday, May 6, in recognition of National Nurses Day. AAA will deliver baskets to five facilities. The sweeping effort is being sponsored by AAA Northeast’s Information Technology department.
AAA first launched the effort in 2020, recognizing the efforts of nurses and health care workers caring for COVID-19 patients and others. The baskets are designed for grab-and-go convenience, enabling the health care workers to quickly access healthy foods quickly during their long shifts
AAA Northeast IT staff members will head out Friday morning, with the first delivery at 11 a.m. The stops include Faxton Hospital, Utica, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica at 11:30am and St. Luke’s Hospital, Utica, at 11:45am. The group will continue to A.O Fox Hospital in Oneonta and Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
“Health care providers are there when we need them, and AAA wants to show our appreciation for their tireless efforts,” said John Galvin, President, and CEO of AAA Northeast.
