Providence, R.I., November 30, 2020 — Rhode Island’s average gas price is the up one cent from last week ($2.08), averaging $2.09 per gallon. Today’s price is 1 cent lower than a month ago ($2.10) and 43 cents cheaper than November 30, 2019 ($2.52). Rhode Island’s average gas price is 6 cents lower than the national average.
“As COVID-19 cases increased, the national gas price average saw its cheapest November in 12 years,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs. “Drivers can expect pump prices to mainly decline in the days ahead, especially with demand the lowest it’s been since June.”
AAA Northeast’s November 30 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be 2 cents higher than last week ($2.10), averaging $2.12 a gallon. Today’s national average price is 2 cents lower than a month ago ($2.14), and 46 cents cheaper than this day last year ($2.58).
